Aaghaz Foundation - Using Education to effect Socio-Economic Changes

Problems bedeviling the community Illiteracy and unemployment are largely responsible for backwardness among Muslim youths in India, especially Uttar Pradesh. A lot is being done on the religious front, but very little on issues related to education and socio-economic development and growth of Muslims.Aaghaz Foundation is a movement or collection of community resources to eradicate this problem.

28 new student cases identified in Amberganj (old) area

Our last neighbourhood contact program (March 12, 2006) held in Amberganj area - resulted in identification of 28 new student cases; most of these students are studying in Nursery, Class I, and Class II - but due to non-payment of the fees they were on verge of dropping out. Aaghaz Foundation has adopted all these children, and has made provisions for their fees now for one full year. Most of these children belonged to single parent families (either their father or mother had expired).

Our members are still conducting their surveys in this particular area, and we hope to identify some more cases before beginning of this new school session.
